How do I know if I successfully subscribed for a Corporate action in the webtrader?


Rights issues & Dividends

When you place an order for the subscription offer product related to a rights issue or dividend coupons, it will remain under open orders until the deadline. You can modify and/or delete your order until the deadline.

After the deadline, the claims or coupons will be booked out of your portfolio. In their place, you will receive a reservation line for the new shares or cash dividend to be received. Once we receive the shares or funds, we will book out the reservation line and you will receive the shares in your DEGIRO account.

Tender offers

When you successfully place an order for a tender offer product, an administrative sell/buy transaction will take place. As a result the registered shares will be placed on a reservation line. If successfully placed, you will see this in your portfolio the non tradeable reservation.

Upon the completion of a tender offer, the funds will be booked in your account automatically. Simultaneously the reservation line in your portfolio will be debited as well.

Accordion

In case you can register for a corporate action by the Webtrader, DEGIRO will provide you of a detailed explanation how to participate in an event. We advise you to carefully study the instruction as provided by DEGIRO to ensure you placed the order correctly and in case of any doubt reach out to our service desk by email or phone.

Generally speaking, the main reason why your subscription is rejected is due to the following reason(s):

  • The deadline has past
  • Your available fund (VBR) is insufficient
  • You have placed a request with an invalid amount of shares or rights
  • The resulting reservation or position has a poorer risk category (Debit money clients only)
